    • Hey Yash,

The many advantages of IoT shared here are revealing. The world is going full digital and the Internet of Things Technology comes handy to ensure that individuals and brands make the most of it.

IoT is trending, and the for it making products as a service is that benefit which many are already enjoying!

    • The truth remains that digital marketing is undergoing transformation. There is high competition and expectation when it comes to service delivery expected from digital marketers.

The Internet of Things (IoT) concept is not surprising because brands must stay ahead of others in delivering the best services.

      Hi Yash,

Sharing real time information, Turning products into interactive media, providing products capable of shifting the ecosystem, and presenting product as a service are very clear advantages of the use of Internet of Things technology.

      Hi Yash,

I think that you have expounded more on what Internet of Things can do for digital marketers. If this technology is embraced then conservation of energy and productivity would be facilitated.

However, my best takeaway from this post has to do with the fact that IoT helps in providing products to make shift in the ecosystem.

      Thus, this excerpt is powerful:

Providing any particular product with the power to shift across ecosystems/ categories on its own is one of the most sought- after advantages of IoT meeting digital marketing.

    • Digital Marketing is the in thing today. However, for one to keep succeeding at it, there is need to embrace technology or innovation that would appeal to present trend.

I am glad that Internet of Things or IoT can come to the rescue of many online marketers. There are lots of advantages that the average online brand or digital marketer can achieve with this.

To be specific, IoT is sure to help businesses save time, energy and resources in communicating their products to potential customers. Likewise, they would also save time and cost in the development of the right product for their brands!

    • Hi Yash,

I am sure Internet of Things doesn’t just offer digital marketers benefits that ranges from costs savings to energy savings.

In some ways and in the future, it would be seen as being a platform to launch into new technological innovations.

Already, its importance as offering products as a service is something to cling about its future.

Therefore, I am seeing it more as a technology that would facilitate future innovations already experienced by some businesses!

    • Hello Yash!

      Thanks for the post!

I for one am very excited for 2017 and Iot. Like you article says. It opens up a whole new set of opportunities for digital marketing!

Personally, I curious if things will end up like that one scene in the Minority Report. The one where the main character walks into the Gap, and they know everything the person he is impersonating has bought!

      Scary…but kind of cool!

    • Yash,

Thanks for the post. There were some interesting things to think about that I haven’t thought of before. Mainly it didn’t really cross my mind about how these products can market to us. That just goes to show how well they do it so subtly!

For example, I have an Amazon Echo device and when I ask it certain questions it sometimes ask me if I want to subscribe to Amazon Prime to get more benefits. I wonder how this type of marketing for Amazon Prime from echo devices has effected their number of subscribers to Prime. It would be interesting to see, and my guess would be is their subscriber numbers have increased since the Echo.
