How to Drive Traffic to Your Blog for Free from Facebook

For the last few months, I have been able to drive some good traffic to my internet marketing blog, for free, from Facebook.

And, as you can see in the Google Analytic Stats, in the image above, the Facebook traffic I was able to get – really loved my blog and its content.

They stayed about 5 minutes, on average, on my internet marketing blog.

This is because I have been implementing a very cool Facebook Marketing Strategy, just to get people interested in visiting my blog.

The people who I was able to bring to my internet marketing blog, are obviously very interested in the topics I talk about.

I think, Facebook is a great Social Network to get targeted traffic for an Internet Marketing Blog.

From my experiences, so far, you will be able to find thousands of people interested in the Internet Marketing, Network Marketing, Blogging, SEO, and Home Based Business Niche – on Facebook.

I want to share with you, how to drive traffic to your blog for free from Facebook alone.

Facebook has millions of users, who are online, every single day. And a good percentage of this people on Facebook, are using Facebook for Marketing Purposes.

This means, there are thousands, if not millions of people, on Facebook, every single day, who are eager to learn how to market on the internet, the right way.

This is where you can be the Hero!!

That is pretty much what I have been doing.

I pay close attention to the people who are marketing on Facebook – especially Facebook Groups, and then I simply tell them about my internet marketing blog.

A blog that teaches them how to market on the internet, the right way.

Now, you see why people would always say, YES?

When I ask them; would you like to get valuable internet marketing education, for free?

Especially, when you see the person trying hard to promote their business online on Facebook.

You can actually help a lot of people – and gain followers for life.

I am building a good readership to my internet marketing blog, just from Facebook alone.

And this is High Quality Traffic.

I get shout-outs to me and to my internet marketing blog, on Facebook, from time to time.

And it is because, by implementing what I’m about to teach you, it is also helping me build a big Following on Facebook, and people are always happy to read my next new blog post.

I have my own process to build up my Facebook Network – but I also have a simple strategy just to get people to my internet marketing blog from Facebook.

I’m only going to share how I have been able to get people really interested in my internet marketing blog, on Facebook. If you want a complete Facebook Marketing Training, you can go here.

Just take a quick look, at my Facebook Network Stats …..

As you can see, I have reached my 5,000 friends limit – and I still have 42 pending friend requests (November 2015).

And you can also see how many people are currently following me on Facebook.

This is a result of implementing exactly what I have been teaching on Facebook Marketing, so far. So, what I share with you, really works.

The main key to get these type of results, though, is CONSISTENCY.

There is a process you must follow, very consistently. If you do not, then you should not expect your Facebook following and network to grow steadily.

Alright, now let me get to meat and potatoes here.

How to drive traffic to your blog for free from Facebook

Now, this is a strategy that would work best for someone who is building a blog in the internet marketing, affiliate marketing, blogging, SEO, network marketing, and home based business niche.

Because, my strategy here has to do with Facebook Groups.

And as you probably already know, there are thousands of Facebook groups on these topics. And there are thousands and hundreds of thousands of people in such Facebook Groups.

Just see it for yourself ….

These are just a few Facebook groups on Affiliate Marketing.

Of course, these groups are mainly for people to promote in them.

But, chances are, that someone typing that in the Facebook search box, is interested in Affiliate Marketing and Internet Marketing, don’t you think?

Here are my 3 simple steps, to getting traffic to my internet marketing blog, from Facebook Groups:

Step 1 – Find a Facebook Group where you think people might be very interested in what you are teaching on your blog.

Step 2 – Reach out to the Group’s Members.

Step 3 – Connect with the members, and talk to them about your Blog and the Valuable Content you are sharing for free.

That’s it!

I want to keep this very simple, because it is a process that you must follow consistently.

The simpler you keep this, the better.

You can spend – 45 minutes to 1+ hour, every day, doing this.

What you want to do, at the beginning, is test things out. And see how this works for you.

You want to be smart here, and play around with the messages you send people. To learn what message people respond to, the best.

I have done this myself, every single day, for the past few months. And it has helped my internet marketing blog gain more exposure online, for free.

One thing that I would like to point out – is that Facebook recently changed their Message Inbox Features – as of November 2015.

They now have this new feature called “Message Requests”.

So, what this means, is that you are now asking most of the new people you are messaging, if it is okay for you to message them.

Facebook still has the “Filtered” inbox. And some of your messages will still go there.

When you message random people on Facebook, who are not your friend, your message will either go to their Message Request Inbox or their Filtered Message Inbox.

This is why I am telling you to play around with this simple strategy I just shared with you.

When I was doing it a lot, this new Message Request Feature was not there. But, I still follow this strategy on Facebook – I’m just noticing a longer wait for people to message back.

Because, as I was saying, this is a brand new feature on the Facebook messaging system.

I just wanted to share my simple process of getting free traffic to my internet marketing blog – from facebook.

It is not a complicated strategy, and the traffic I have received is actually very good. A lot of people stayed on my blog for more than 2-3 minutes!

I also noticed that a lot of people from facebook, got into my newsletters. And many became a big fan and supporter of my internet marketing blog.

I mean, getting followers and fans of your blog, that are most likely going to support you for a very long time, is well-worth the process. Would you agree?!

Now, little by little, people are now talking more and more about my internet marketing blog. And from time to time, people actually thank me for the value I share on my blog.

Once a big amount of people start talking and sharing your blog posts, with each other and in their social networks, that is when you can also start to build up some Viral Traffic, for free.

It is a beautiful thing to know that a few of your blog posts are being shared hundreds and even thousands of times online.

You can definitely make that happen.

All you have to do, is publish High Quality Blog Posts with a lot of Value – and then put it in front of the right crowd.

It does make me happy when I get facebook messages like this….

What a beautiful way to help people, and also be supported for what you love doing and sharing on your blog.

Wouldn’t it make you feel good, about what you are doing with your blog online, when you receive messages like this?

What about when people talk about you and the value you share through your blog with each other?

You know, I don’t only build an income with blogging and teach internet marketing, I also do it with Network Marketing and help people in that industry build their teams online.

Do not underestimate Facebook. And any Social Network Platform, because you never know its true potential.

You just won’t know, what you don’t know! …. And to know, what you want to know, you must do and have the experience yourself.

Test things out!!

You get what I mean?

I am sharing this, mainly to inspire you, and to show you what can be done. When you just go for strategies with a lot of consistency and smart decisions.

  2. Hi Freddy,

Facebook is occupying the 50% share in internet marketing as per the social media examiner report, I am posting my articles in a lot of groups, but I am not getting traffic as I expected.

I am doing one mistake I am not engaging with people, but lot of the groups are filled with junk of waste posts including some bad posts, how to find the best groups is becoming problem to me, anyway thanks for sharing the information, see you soon.

    • Hi Siddaiah!

Well, I don’t recommend you to just post on Facebook Groups. That is not what I am teaching here.

What I am teaching here, is to Connect with the members in the Facebook Groups. These are people who are interested in learning more about different topics online. So, it is a smart idea to connect with them and tell them more about the knowledge you are sharing on your blogs online.

You get what I mean? 😉

Don’t look at the posts, look at the members in the members section!

Usually, people who have their ‘Follow’ Button turned on, are real people who are looking to make money online.

You have to be smart here man! 🙂

Thank you for coming by and leaving a comment!

Keep up the the great work so far!

      Have a great week! 😀

i know it’s a big thing that I am missing out on but it

I do agree with your points though as I have seen results from multiple FB groups as well as pages. I just need to use it more. Facebook is a big timesuck for me LOL, bad for my productivity! Hehe

    Great tips as usual Freddy!

    • Hi Dennis!

Well, it is only a big time suck, if you let it become a big time sucker and you don’t concentrate on the Productive Activities! 😉

I know a lot of people who are making a lot of money just by concentrating on Facebook Marketing.

It is not what you do, but HOW you do it my friend! 🙂

Be smart with your strategies, and don’t get distracted with things that will not get you the results you are looking for!

Thank you for coming by and leaving a comment!

      Keep up the great work!!

  4. Thanks for this case study, this looks an awesome method to drive traffic for free using Facebook.

I guess the downside is that you have to trade in your time and effort in consistently networking with people online.
Regardless, I think this form of active marketing is much more effective in building solid relationships and resulting in better conversion rates because you’re not sending cold traffic straight to a landing page like you would with paid advertising.

    • Hi Eyal!!

That is an interesting prediction, Eyal! 😉

But, I don’t really think that they “don’t like it” when you do use your main profile for business and marketing – do they prefer that you do not do that? Most likely!

I know a lot of people who have been building their facebook network for years and now get hundreds and thousands of Likes and Comments with every post they publish. I think Facebook actually categorizes you as a “Celebrity” if you have a few hundred thousands of follower and into the millions. And you would think that almost no internet marketer could get hundreds of thousands of Facebook Followers – but you would be very wrong!

I have actually seen a few internet marketers with almost a million followers only on Facebook. There is one very popular lady who started in the weight loss niche, from the very scratch and she now has an insane amount of Facebook Followers! 😀

So, Facebook can really pay off – not immediately, but with consistent growth, it will definitely pay off!

Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment man!

      have a fantastic week!

      Cheers! 😀

  5. Hey Freddie,

When it comes to Facebook groups it is important to be consistent with the engagement. If the engagement is not valuable then the conversion would be lull.

Driving traffic to a blog free from Facebook is only the function of the valuable contribution made on the platform.

However, the 3 steps you have pointed about getting involved with group are very clear!
