It seems like blockbusters are always being released during the summer or the holidays so that people can take advantage of their time off and enjoy, as a family, the movies that are released.
Many of the franchises have been around a long time and with the length of their success, different actors and actresses are required to play the various lead roles.
Which brings us to the question of who are the best actors or actresses as it relates to these various hit franchises and blockbusters that are released?
For example, there have been many Batman movies and many actors that have played that role.
Therefore, the age-old argument is who was the best? Was it Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, etc?
Of course, there is the Superman series, and the various actors range from the original TV series which featured George Reeves, to Chris Reeves and so forth.
One additional super franchise that had us on the edge of our seats and engaged are the James Bond movies.
Today, there have been six different 007’s and recently a contest was advertised in conjunction with the new James Bond movie being released.
One lucky individual was to be paid a certain amount of money for binge-watching all of the James Bond movies.
Ways To Get Paid to Watch James Bond Movies
1. Research
If wishing to get paid to watch James Bond movies or any other opportunities to binge-watch adventure stories, it is important to do your research.
This was an opportunity that was provided and may no longer be available, but there may be opportunities in the future in which watching James Bond or other movies and getting paid to binge-watch them may present themselves.
Therefore, it is important to do an occasional search on the Internet utilizing keywords such as binge-watching, getting paid to watch movies, etc. to see what sort of opportunities might avail themselves.
2. Be a James Bond Fan
In this case, to get paid to binge-watch James Bond movies, the sponsors were looking for an individual who was an avid James Bond fan.
The individual, out of the tens of thousands of individuals that made applications to binge-watch, needed to separate themselves from the pack and indicate their passion for James Bond and watching his movies.
The individual that was selected just happened to have the same first name and also demonstrated his creativity as a Bond fan by creating a Credit Card Lock Pick.
3. Time Commitment
Binge-watching sounds like fun and can certainly be engaging for the first few movies that are watched.
However, with this job advertised for the individual to watch to binge-watch James Bond movies required the watching of 24 James Bond episodes binge-watching was taken to a whole new level.
The total time commitment for watching the movies would take a total of 51 hours and the individual had 30 days to ensure that those hours of binge-watching were accomplished.
4. Application
An application process was involved in which there were two questions that were asked.
One question was “What makes you a James Bond super fan” and the other question is “Why should we choose you for the job?”
5. Attention to Detail
One of the requirements for the individual who was binge-watching the James Bond movies was to complete a simple worksheet when watching.
The rules of the contest did not specifically say what was required to be recorded on the worksheets.
I’m sure it has something to do with the number of times he ordered a martini shaken but not stirred or indicated that his name was Bond, James Bond.
6. Social Media Presence
The other tip or requirement to get paid to watch James Bond movies was at the individual needed to have a significant social media presence.
Some of those social media websites that the individual needed to be heavily involved with included Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok, etc.
The idea was for the individual to take to the social meet the web does and frequently talk about the movies, the process, how the contest was going, etc.
7. Next Actor
One of the ways that you can get recognized to be selected to binge-watch James Bond movies would be to start a discussion about who the next James Bond actor would be to fill the shoes of the previous actors.
You could put out a couple of ideas and indicate why you think they would be good candidates.
Perhaps, a way to get recognized and started a new conversation would be to suggest that the next James Bond movie have the individual who is licensed to kill be a female.
8. Time
Having 51 hours of movies to watch in 30 days, it would’ve been important to have done the math.
Therefore, you would have needed to watch, on average, one movie a night for the entire month.
To keep your interest and your commitment to do this, how to watch the movies may have been an important consideration.
Maybe watch two movies on a Saturday or a Sunday and then take one day off during the week or mix up the times when you watch so it didn’t become monotonous.
9. Binge Party
There didn’t seem to be anything in the rules that indicated that other individuals cannot be involved in the binge-watching of the James Bond movies.
A great way to have accomplished this 51-hour marathon would be to have a number of parties as it related to the particular James Bond movie that was going to be watched that particular day.
You could have invited friends over, had the theme of the binge-watching party mirror the James Bond movie being watched, and had a really fun time watching 007.
For example, if you had watched Goldfinger, the people should wear something either made of real gold or artificial gold to take on the theme of the movie and perhaps decorate the room as if it was Fort Knox.
10. Sound and Visual Equipment
To make binge-watching as enjoyable as possible, it is important that you have a quality television set that captures the big-screen effects of these spectacular movies in crystal clarity and high definition.
Also, having a high-quality sound system to capture all of the sounds of the 007 music theme, along with the sound effects of the various adventures, explosions, and other exciting sounds of the movie is critical to the enjoyment of the binge-watching opportunity.

Personal Story
One of the most memorable Decembers that I had was in 1965.
It involved staying with my sister and her husband, a pool table, and James Bond.
It was the week before Christmas, and I was on Christmas vacation from high school I was asked if I wanted to spend the week before Christmas with my sister.
Of course, I readily said yes because it would be fun, something to do and the rules of the household were not quite as stringent when with my sister and her husband
It was during this time that I was introduced to books written by Ian Fleming as my brother-in-law had purchased a set of 14 of Fleming’s James Bond books.
I devoured them eagerly.
To top it off, it was during December of 1965 that the movie Thunderball was released, and I was treated to the movies to go see this fantastic adventure.
After the week was over, we traveled back home and come to find out my dad had made arrangements for the purchase of a table as a family gift for all.
It was a perfect holiday season for a 16-year-old; being away from home, reading Ian Fleming books, seeing my first James Bond movie, and enjoying the family gift of a pool table.
