How will the behaviour of social media users change now that we’re steamrolling through 2014?

Heart+Mind Strategies polled U.S. social media users on how they plan to use Facebook, Twitter and other top platforms this year, and discovered that the top three things these folks plan to do more of in 2014 are staying in touch with family (56 percent), staying in touch with current friends (55%) and connecting with old friends with him they have lost touch (32 percent).

Conversely, almost two in five (38 percent) say that they want to spend less time reading comments by celebrities, athletes and politicians, 30 percent won’t use these tools to find prospective partners and more than one quarter (27 percent) won’t simply be passing the time on social media.
