When to Leave Your Job for Affiliate Marketing

Avatar of James Submitted by James March 11, 2014 Website: www.charlesngo.com

There’s one huge moment in every affiliate’s career. It’s the moment you decide to step up your game and become a full-time affiliate marketer.

No more steady paycheck every two weeks. Your destiny is now in your hands.

People ask me all the time, “Hey, Charles! When should I quit my job?”

Some people literally want me to make the decision for them.

There’s no proper formula. What I have to offer is my own experiences and what I’ve seen worked for others.

    Hi Charles,
A thought-provoking and ruminating post! I have not crossed to “full-time affiliate” position yet. However, I have seen many who do and regret it latter.

I guess they somehow have a misconception of what being a full-time affiliate should be!

I have learned some useful insights from this post, and I would be willing to put them into perspective and practice.

The takeaways for me in this post include understanding whether the money I now earn from affiliate marketing is double what I earn from my present job!

If so, then that should be a signal for quitting and concentrating fully on affiliate marketing!

    Hi Charles
Quitting a job for another earning option is quite risky decision and needs lot of pondering before finally tendering your resignation.
The issue of opportunity cost is equally important in this case. If you earn $10000 and may earn $8000 soon after quitting a job and getting into affiliate it doesn’t mean you are just surrendering $2000 per month. It means you are entirely changing your growth prospect and can earn quite more than that if you keep doing your work consistently in your new profession. So one must not be confused with partly figures and take a decision in professional terms.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful post that is quite unique in nature.

I heard several stories of different people over the internet that they quitted their job and focus on affiliate marketing or as a full time blogger.

Taking into consideration about things before leaving is important, like asking yourself these questions…

“How good of an affiliate marketer am I?
Did I make my money from luck or skill?
If someone took away my top 3 campaigns, do I still have a system to make money?”

Will help you know if you’re qualified in quitting and focus on affiliate marketing.

All in all, this article is revealing. I bet they will find this interesting and helpful for those who are planning to focus on making money online.

One thing I have realised with respect to being your own boss and working for someone else is simple, it is easier sad than done!
Many tend to have all sorts of motivations in heading towards of building their own financial empire but somewhere along the line backslide.

Becoming an affiliate marketer or working online in general takes a lot of patience and at the end being smart as well.

This is really an inspirational post my friend.
Affiliate marketing is really huge business one can deal online. So, if your capable of earning more than your job salary than you’ve got to kick your old job and start your Affiliate carrier.

Everyone in this world wants to get the best and when you have the best with you(Affiliate marketing),then you do not have to do all day long stressful job when you can earn more than your normal job sitting before your computer.

Th bets part in the entire post, i consider is never breaking the bridge between you and your company. You never know what happens next,So even your carrier in affiliate marketing fails(If you do not work to your full capacity)then you can reconnect your old job easily.

A very interesting post for me. Affiliate marketing is something I don’t have my hands on properly. Though, it is my wish to kick it with learning’s from successful people.

The best tip was to leave the job on a good note. Jobs are scarce and sometimes you might need to go back to the same old company.

Risk is something everyone needs to take before any big plans in their life. Many have the problem of not handling their freedom. Me too, I work better with time deadlines.

As of now, I am growing as an affiliate, given your requirements, it will take a good amount of time before I actually quit.

    Superb post, I loved it.

This is really a well informative post for those who are thinking of stepping into Affiliate marketing business on full time basis.

The debt clearing example that you have mentioned is really a mind blowing practice. One should try to say good bye to luxurious life (at least till clearing debts) if he/she is in debt.

Further, having some savings is really an inspirational thing for every businessman or even for a normal fellow too.

And as you mentioned in last about connection with previous employer, I too agree that business relations should be long lasting for success.
Thanks to Charles for sharing the post.
