The following is a guest post by my friend Malan Darras. You can find him on twitter and he blogs regularly at malandarras.com

As an affiliate marketer, part of your job is to constantly upgrade your skills and adapt with the times. You probably read some blogs, some books and emails to stay up to date on what’s working best right now.

But what you may not realize, is that one of the best resources for finding new marketing tricks (that actually work) is in your own experience online every day and even right now.

At this moment, the web is filled with powerful marketing tricks and tactics. You encounter them all day long. If you pay close attention to your personal experience online, you can capture these tactics and use them in your own campaigns.

“Keep an eye out for any marketing tactic, design or text that causes you to take notice. In time, you become a vessel for more new tricks and ideas than you ever thought possible.”

I love this take away and I will always keep this in mind Charles.

The experiments’ result is great, the first one URGENCY is also amazing. If you react that way, like your eyes gonna pop out why you recieve something like that, then you can use that as a trick for your readers, for CTAs.

If the psychology of words used in marketing cause emotional reaction in the reader, then there is a high chance that it could work for others. This is a concept that should be employed easily by marketers.

The experiments and examples revealed in this post are spot-on. They can be replicated by marketers to gain similar results!

That was a freaking amazing post! Learned loads of new stuff that can actually bring noticeable improvement in affiliate sales.

Only the ideas shared by him didn’t got me excited. What got me excited the most is the method- to learn and use one’s own experiences!

I loved the way he used to keep a note of the things that forced him to take action. And then he made use of the exact same strategies to skyrocket his affiliate sales!

    Isn’t that a wonderful prospect?

I bet I can start implementing this strategy right away!

    Much valuable content! :)

    Arun
