Come to bat with a game plan. Know your exit strategy. If you want to sell pull back on personal branding, because writing inspiring but more generic content – from a personal perspective – will be easier to sell when buying time comes around.

    Hi Marc,
Without doubt, from the details of this post, only a few people would doubt if you truly make up to $500,000 selling websites ( forgive me if I sound doubtful, but a lot people are making claims of what they are not online). Your article is in-depth with proofs and these show you know what you are doing.

Experience, they say, is the best teacher, and I am sure many planning to buy and sell website would learn the basics from your submissions. The 13 tips you have shared are very instructive, and I see many bloggers taking action now!

Anyone looking to buy your site will most definitely be interested in the stats, so gathering your site statistics is very necessary. I have sold a couple of site in the past and i must tell you that buyers are most important in stats and also the cost of running the site.

If you have some tasks outsourced you must also tell them about it and the cost, and don’t build a site on a backlink profile that could cause problems for the new owner when you pull out.

Great post you have here Aditya.
I got into the flipping business about a month ago and I am loving it. Though I am currently selling new sites but the ROI is pretty Impressive.
Like others have said, stats is important and the website potential is another crucial factors that buyers do consider.

Thank you very much for such a useful post. It will help me to prepare my website to get sold. Above listed points are just amazing, and this is what I find in flippa. Users need status and earning reports followed by maintenance charges.

So your tips should be surely followed by website owners, who want to make their website get sold quickly. Thanks for such useful information in post.

I had never tried to sell my websites, but two of them I sold to a friend and the cost is like around 2 digits only. Stats are very important thing and all the buyers will ask to show analytics and revenue proof etc.

You had mentioned nice tips for selling websites, blogs but learn’t most things from forums. Thanks for sharing your useful information here.

You’ve mentioned wonderful and detailed steps of creating and selling a website that what most of the Flippa sellers easily banking the profits very quickly, but very sadly few of buyers only satisfies with the sites since most of the sellers making profits by selling a site with fake proofs, I see it day-by-day.

You’ve mentioned some legit tips that won’t hurt both buyer and seller.

Thanking you, have a wonderful day.

Selling a website is the most stupid thing you can do in my opinion however there are some factors that may push you do this even if you don’t want to sell you hard work.

I think many people if read this article before jumping on Flippa network with astronomical prices or wrong evaluated sites would have a lot to gain.

Wow, that’s a big assumption to make, Anis. And sadly you didn’t explain why you think it’s the most “stupid” thing to do.

So, I ask you – why do you think selling a website is the most “stupid” thing to do?

Hi, Admin that was just my two cents! :)

I personally think that selling your own site is something not good, it’s better to keep working hard on it til you get a decent amount of traffic and royal readers then you can enjoy the passive income that comes with it 😀

Selling your website is a fast way to make some fast cash, but you will need to make another website and that’s another hard work, So I think it’s better to keep working on just one blog and focus on it because sometime it will get you passive income, that was my opinion, and I totally respect yours too 😀

Have a nice day ahead 😀

Well whatever rocks one boat, if you feel selling your site is okay by you, the heck, sell it..

I would not by a site that won’t give me money or that I will have to do alot of work before I start earning from it…

Great stats are what makes a site and also determines how pricey it is going to be when put up for sale…

Thanks for the wonderful tips Adithya
