Welcome to the 77th edition of The Three Things, the weekly update of three links, podcasts, videos, or books you can’t miss – from Howie Goldfarb (Blue Star Strategic Marketing), Laura Petrolino, and yours truly.

For those of you new to this series, The Three Things arrives in your inbox on Sunday mornings (unless you don’t subscribe, but that can easily be fixed if you hurry over and enter your email address or add to your RSS feed) so you have some extra time to spend perusing the obscure content we’ve curated for you (and one another) before your week begins and deadlines, meetings, and work takes over.

Today we explore who owns what on social media, the man in the moon, and Napoleon’s astonishing hubris.

Will Katherine Heigl’s Tweet Lawsuit Against Duane Reade Hold up in Court?

Howie on a Court Case to Watch. This is a really important social media and privacy court case to watch. I don’t think Katherine Heigl has a case. Her position is Duane Reade Drug Stores used her in a Tweet to commercially promote them without her permission. And she wants $6 million. Don’t we all.

It is left for the courts to decide if Katherine Heigl is right or wrong. We should not under play the possibility of her wining the case if her attorneys are able to convince the judge/jury beyond reasonable doubt that her image was used on the social media without “permission”.

I for one think this is crazy How do you give someone permission to re-tweet something. Really? I would be curious to see how this one plays out.
I also found it interesting the way this article stated that infographic’s were created way back in 1862 by Charles Joseph Minard on Napoleon’s failed invasion of Russia.

Now this is history, when I first seen the word infographic, I thought it was a new word Didn’t You? Great share Chery :))

I do keep on posting many pictures of my friends without them knowing, I pray they don’t come asking for money. This is simply ridiculous. It only proves one thing- she loves money and she keeps spying for this opportunity.

Wow, moon’s age is revealed- that is interesting for one thing- not all care about it. For me it is nice as I love astronomical happenings.
